Batik

For me, the Batiks were definitely a challenge. We covered parts with wax and used paint to make a picture. I chose a sea turtle because i love the colors involved.

Filtered Mandala

Mandala, filtered through photoshop.

Mandala, Favorite art project!

To make this mandala, i used the form of radial symmetry. I chose to have my flamingos as my subject because i really think they are beautiful with the pink feathers. I tried to stick with warm colors to symbolize the sun, but then threw some cools in to symbolize the sky. I really enjoyed this project, i put a lot of effort into it because I was so motivated.

Cotton Grass Filtered

Same watercolor of Cotton silk grass, filtered trough photoshop.

Abstract Watercolor

In this picture I see a force of wind causing everything to go into a vortex. I consider this abstract art. It has a feeling of destruction through natural forces.

Mountain Watercolor

This is a watercolor scenery painting. The feeling is peaceful.

Fish Watercolor

In this picture I see an underwater scene, a school of fish. I used watercolor to create a cool background, i put a variety of colors down than covered it in saran wrap. I then went back and used Chinese brush painting for the fish. The feeling is relaxing.

Cotton Silk Grass Watercolor

This is another scene made out of watercolor. The picture captures Cotton silk grass in the light of a sunset. It symbolizes harmony.

PUPPETS

Puppets was a great experience in art. We learned to cooperate and we met new people. My group did a sun/world person. We used wire, paper mache, batiks, and acrylic paint. It was a donation to the food share.

Linocuts

In this project we carved linoleum and made stamps by using ink. I made an earthy subject.
